Some clarifications
Dear Participants
We are in the 4th week of this course. I have had people asking me several questions in the forum. I would like to address them here again:
1. Regarding assignments mentioned in the Video lecture: This course is a re-run course and hence we have provided new questions for the new batch of students. You do not need to submit any assignment mentioned in the lecture itself. You can attempt them for your self-learning. The Assignment that is available as a separate tab under the week's content is a graded assignment. So please take care to submit it within the due date.
2. For 8 weeks, 8 assignments have been provided. Assignment 0 is not a graded assignment. Towards your final grade, best 6 out of 8 assignments will be taken for grading. So do not be disheartened if you could not submit any early assignment or did not do well in one.
3. The final exam questions will be similar to your weekly Assignment questions. They will be thus objective MCQ type of questions based solely on the video lectures.
4. Whenever you have any doubt regarding the difficult names mentioned in the video lecture, please ask me the same in the forum. I will be happy to help. You can alternatively google the word approximation. They are all very famous people and you wouldn't face any difficulty in finding them. We are working on the transcripts of the lectures and will keep you posted.
I hope the above points clears some of the recurring doubts. Please let us know for further help.

Jyoti Mishra

Let us start learning!
Dear Participants
The course Literary Theory and Literary Criticism has officially started on 05-02-2018. The enrolment dates have been extended to 12 February so that interested students still have a chance to join. We had created Assignment 0 as a zero graded test to evaluate our learners and I am glad to say all the participants have attempted it. Assignment 1 was also made live earlier in order to give the participants a better understanding of the testing pattern. Once the due date is over, the solutions to the assignments will be made available on the portal.
From now on Assignments for that particular week will go live by Sunday night. 8 graded Assignments will be given for 8 weeks. Please note that the assignment mentioned in the video lecture is not required. That is only for self assessment and you are encouraged to attempt it for self-learning. However, please take care to submit the graded assignments within the due date as your over all grades depend on it.
The button "Ask a Question" leads to a discussion forum for all the participants where all of you are encouraged to discuss topics of relevance with your peers. We are attempting to promote peer learning through this forum. Teaching Assistants are also available for clarification of specific doubts. I hope we all can have fruitful discussions in the future.
Thank You
