Postcolonial Literature
Food for thought - 1
Dear Students,
I hope most of you would have by now started understanding the multiple layers in which colonialism and postcolonialism works. I think, therefore, this is a ripe time for us to start a lively discussion on the Forum to see how our thoughts are changing about the things that we had taken for granted before.
As discussed in the videos, even today we find ourselves surrounded by legacies of British colonialism, and Sayan sir has already listed three of the most important ones: English language, Indian Railways, and Capitalism. What other things do we see, hear, feel or taste in our daily lives that were bequeathed unto us by the Britishers? And what do we think about that? Let's start discussing.
Regards,
Mohua Dutta
Regarding multiple submission of the assignments
Dear Students,
This is just to remind everyone that the assignments can only be submitted once on the website. Therefore, I would like to request everyone to be extra cautious and check thoroughly before clicking on the submit button. We have received a lot of emails asking us to allow resubmission, but once the assignments go online, it gets locked automatically and we cannot make changes from our end.
However, we have taken the feedback into account, and we'll allow multiple submissions from the next assignment onwards.
