Dear Candidate:

If you have registered and paid successfully for the April28/29 NPTEL Online certification exams, your Admit Card/Hall ticket is now available at http://nptelonlinecourses.iitm.ac.in/

Login with your registered Google-enabled account email id (used to access the course on the portal and used for registering for the exam) and its password to access the link. Click on April exam to download the hall ticket(s) for the April28/29 exams, from the link.

IMPORTANT:

1. Change of shift, course, exam center, exam city is NOT POSSIBLE.

HW-9 Q-11 to 14

Hint for HW-9 Q-11 to 14:
Q-11:  How would you solve the problem if all components were resistors? You can follow the same procedure, but taking into account the impedance of the capacitors
Q-12: For V2/V1 to be real, both numerator and denominator must be purely imaginary or both purely real or both should have the same phase. You need to figure out which case applies.
Q-13 is a simple numerical substitution exercise after you solve Q-12.
Q-14: Note that the beta network is the same as that in Q-11.

HW-7 Q-8 to 13

For Q-8 to Q-13 of HW-7, the common-mode and differential-mode input/output voltage definitions are given in Q-8. In general, if the input voltage is taken between V1 and V2, then Vid = V2-V1, Vic=0.5*(V1+V2).
At the output of this circuit, which is single-ended, you can use the following definitions:
Voc is the output voltage we get when Vid=0.
Vod is the output voltage we get when Vic=0.

Welcome to the Online Course : Basic Electronics

Dear Student, Welcome to NPTEL Online Courses and Certification!   Thank you for signing up for our online course "Basic Electronics". We wish you an enjoyable and informative learning experience. The course will begin on January 22,2018. When content is released on the portal, you will get an email alerting you. Please watch the lectures, follow the course regularly and submit all assessments and assignments before the due date. Your regular participation is vital for learning.   We will open registration for the exam soon after the course starts. A form has to be filled and the certification exam has a fee, which needs to be paid at the time of registration. Everyone who has signed-up for the course, including those who do not register for the exam, will continue to have access to the course contents. There are two sections on the portal apart from the course content and assignment sections: The announcement list which will only have messages from course instructors and teaching assistants - regarding the lessons, assignments, exam registration, hall tickets etc.     The discussion forum which is for everyone to ask questions and interact - If you have any questions regarding the technical content in the lectures, any doubts in the assignments or any question related to the exam, registration, hall tickets, results, etc, kindly write about this in the forum and the course instructor/TA will respond to it.
