NPTEL offers 47 new open online courses (10 hr course, 20hr course and 40hr courses) in various disciplines of Engineering&Science, Management and Humanities.

Here is a gentle reminder on the certificate exam registrations for this course.

Proctored exam in 100 cities in India:

The exam fee is Rs 1000. Exam available in 100+ cities across India. The list of exam cities are in the registration form. The last date for registration date is now April 8th 2015 5 PM IST, so hurry!

Type of exam: Subjective. It would be a written exam with paper and pen for 3 hours. Faculty will evaluate your papers manually.

Registration for non-proctored exam for non-India candidates

Here is the much-awaited announcement on registering for the NPTEL Online certification Non-Proctored Honour code Exam for students not residing in India for the 2 courses  "Dynamics of Ocean Structures" and "Health,Safety and Environmental Management in Offshore and Petroleum Engineering". Registration is open from 17th March 2015 to 31st March 2015. The non-proctored honour code exam is on May 17th 1 PM IST to May 18th 1 PM IST and is open only for students who have enrolled with their country as Non-India. Students in India, please do not send us email requesting for any inclusions. The Non-proctored honour code exam is not for students in India. Please do a money transfer of INR 1500 (or) 25 USD equivalent per course that you are registering for the certificate exam, to the account given below. You can register for a maximum of 2 certification exams only. Please fill the registration form only after doing the money transfer.

The Question paper will be made available from 17th May 2015 1 PM to 18th May 1 PM IST - 24 hours.
2) Only PDFs will be accepted as the final answer sheet. Answer PDFs must be uploaded back in the website https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in in the suitable "Exam" Course that would be available for this purpose. This upload would be possible only from the email id with which you enrolled and registered. Format of answer PDFs to be submitted:
(a) Hand written and scanned (or)
(b) Typed and converted to PDF.
3) Only 1 PDF per course will be accepted. Ensure readability/clarity of final PDF document uploaded.
4) Evaluation will be done only for answer sheets for courses registered.
5) Last submitted answer PDF will be considered for evaluation.
6) Answer sheets cannot be submitted after 1 PM IST on 18th May 2015.

IMPORTANT NOTE :- (FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ENROLLED IN MORE THAN 1 COURSE) -  Please note that once the registration form is submitted, no changes like adding or removing the chosen course(s) is possible. Here is the much-awaited announcement on registering for the certification exam. The registration for the certification exam is open to all students enrolled in the course. 
Registration will open from 10th Feb 2015 3 PM (Tuesday) until 9th Mar 2015 9 am(Monday).

Welcome to the online course on Dynamics of Ocean Structures

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for registering for this online course on "Dynamics of Ocean Structures" and I welcome you all.

As you would already be aware, this course begins on 12th January, 2015 (Monday). The lectures will be uploaded and can be viewed on the course webpage in parallel with the course session. You can view these posted videos at any point of time. The assignments will be uploaded as per the schedule released - please keep checking the announcements for further details.

As a reminder, we will open the registration for final exam by March 2015. A form has to be filled and the certification exam has a fee, which needs to be paid at the time of registration. Everyone who has signed-up, including those who have not registered for the exam, will continue to have access to the course contents.
