A short course on “Cooperative 4G/ 5G MIMO Wireless Communications“ is
being organized by IIT Kanpur from 27th to 29th May 2016. Relay based
Cooperative Communication schemes have become significantly popular in
theory and practice especially for implementation in 4G/ 5G wireless
cellular networks. The course will introduce participants to various
cooperative protocols such as Decode-and-Forward (DF), Selective DF,
Amplify-and-Forward (AF), together with several other aspects such as
Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis, diversity order, optimal power allocation

Short Course on MIMO-OFDM Wireless Communications, Feb 19 - 21, 2016 - IIT Kanpur
Dear Colleague,
A 3-Day Short Course on MIMO-OFDM Wireless Communications will be
held from Feb 19 - 21, 2016 at IIT Kanpur. The course is targeted
towards faculty members of engineering colleges and M.Tech/ Ph.D.
students pursuing research in MIMO-OFDM wireless systems. Several
concepts such as fading channels, diversity order, Bit-Error Rate
(BER) performance etc, including aspects such as space-time coding,
beamforming and others will be covered. All the classes will be
conducted in "classroom" style with problem solving sessions to
further enhance and consolidate understanding. Also, a MATLAB/
SIMULINK module is planned.

The registration for the certification
exam is open to all students enrolled in the course.
Registration will be open from 22st JAN 2015 12 noon (Thursday) until 27th FEB 2015 5 PM (Friday).

Dates of exam: 22nd March 2015 (or) 29th March 2015 (exams for all 12 courses will be conducted on both the dates)
Exam Session time: 1 PM - 4 PM
Examination Centers: The exam is to be conducted in 100 cities across India whose list is available on the registration form.
Registration fees: Rs 1000/-
Mode of payment: Only online payment - debit card/credit card/net banking
Hall ticket: The hall ticket will be available for download from 2nd week of March 2015 onwards.

Your status will be updated within 2 business days of your transaction.

Who will get a certificate?
Any candidate who registers and attends the certification exam will get a certificate.
Will the score appear on the certificate?
Yes. The scores obtained by the student in the assignments and in the proctored exam will be used to compute the final score printed on the certificate. The certificate will also have a link to the NPTEL website, where on logging in, your assignment scores and your score in the proctored certification exam will be displayed. Please do regularly submit assignments to get a good final score.

Welcome to the course on Game Theory!
Welcome to the course on Game Theory. This course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive treatment of game theory with specific emphasis on a wide variety of problems involving diverse areas such as Markets, Auctions, Online Retail, Cold War, Paying Taxes, Bargaining, Elections, Portfolio Management etc. Therefore, both undergraduate and postgraduate students and professionals from diverse backgrounds such as Scientists, Engineers, Managers, Politicians and Political Scientists, Economists, Mathematicians etc will find the course content useful.
We are excited to begin the course. The course will go live from Monday, 05 January 2015.
