Dear student

We have made a small modification in the certificates.

1. The certificate for a student scoring lesser than 60% - no changes

2. A student who scores above 60% gets the tag "Elite" printed at the top of the certificate. (Please note that the silver star is not being printed for students scoring between 60-90%)

3. A student who scores above 90% will have "Elite" tag and the gold medal printed on it.

Here is the much awaited announcement on scores for the NPTEL Online certification exam.Your score has been published on the NPTEL website. 


Please follow the steps below:

Click on the tab "Completed courses"
Select the course for which you wrote the exam.
On the right side of the course page, you can find the option "Candidate login"
User Name is your email id registered for the course. Your password is your date of birth in the format – ddmmyyyy
Only candidates who registered for the certification exam and wrote the exam, will be able to login here to view scores.

E-Certificate will be available on the same portal by tomorrow evening. You can download and use this too, if required.
 
Hard copy of the certificate will be sent by speed post to you by the end of this month.

Announcement for Non-Proctored Honour code Exam (for students not residing in India)

 Dear Student:


Here is the much-awaited announcement on registering for the NPTEL Online certification Non-Proctored Honour code Exam for students not residing in India. Registration is open from 3rd March 2015 to 15th March 2015.  
The non-proctored honour code exam is on March 29th 1 PM IST to March 30th 1 PM IST and is open only for students who have enrolled with their country as Non-India. Students in India, please do not send us email requesting for any inclusions. The Non-proctored honour code exam is not for students in India.

Please do a money transfer of INR 1500 (or) 25 USD equivalent per course that you are registering for the certificate exam, to the account given below. You can register for a maximum of 2 certification exams only. Please fill the registration form only after doing the money transfer.

The Question paper will be made available from 29th March 2015 1 PM to 30th March 1 PM IST - 24 hours.
2) Only PDFs will be accepted as the final answer sheet. Answer PDFs must be uploaded back in the websitehttps://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in in the suitable "Exam" Course that would be available for this purpose. This upload would be possible only from the email id with which you enrolled and registered. Format of answer PDFs to be submitted:
(a) Hand written and scanned (or)
(b) Typed and converted to PDF.
3) Only 1 PDF per course will be accepted. Ensure readability/clarity of final PDF document uploaded.
4) Evaluation will be done only for answer sheets for courses registered.
5) Last submitted answer PDF will be considered for evaluation.
6) Answer sheets cannot be submitted after 1 PM IST on 30th March 2015.

Some latest update about the certification exam.

1. Only the average of the highest 3 assignment scores will be considered for calculating the final score that will be printed on the certificate.
This has been decided based on feedback from students stating that they could not complete all the assignments and requesting us to consider an alternate method of evaluation.

2. Atleast 50% of the questions asked in the certification exam will be taken from the assignment questions posted in the course so far or be based on it.

We hope this announcement encourages you to be more confident in appearing for the certification exam and also for registering for the exam, if you haven't already done so far.

Registration open for certification exam

Dear Students,

Here is the much-awaited announcement on registering for the certification exam. 

The registration for the certification exam is open to all students enrolled in the course. 

Registration will be open from 22st JAN 2015 12 noon (Thursday) until 27th FEB 2015 5 PM (Friday).  

The certification exam registration URL is : https://www.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/885/1958/login.html 

Dates of exam: 22nd March 2015 (or) 29th March 2015 (exams for all 12 courses will be conducted on both the dates)
Exam Session time: 1 PM - 4 PM
Examination Centers: The exam is to be conducted in 100 cities across India whose list is available on the registration form.
Registration fees: Rs 1000/- 
Mode of payment: Only online payment - debit card/credit card/net banking
Hall ticket: The hall ticket will be available for download from 2nd week of March 2015 onwards.

Where to check your payment status?
In the following url, http://nptel.ac.in/nocwe shall be posting the status of your payments.
Your status will be updated within 2 business days of your transaction.

If your status is not a success and you have not received an email confirming payment, this means that your payment has not reached us.
So kindly re-register and make the payment again. Any funds deducted will be reverted to your account by the payment gateway.

Who will get a certificate?
Any candidate who registers and attends the certification exam will get a certificate. 

Will the score appear on the certificate?
Yes. The scores obtained by the student in the assignments and in the proctored exam will be used to compute the final score printed on the certificate. The certificate will also have a link to the NPTEL website, where on logging in, your assignment scores and your score in the proctored certification exam will be displayed. Please do regularly submit assignments to get a good final score.

IMPORTANT NOTE :- (FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ENROLLED IN MORE THAN 1 COURSE) 
Please note that once the registration form is submitted after payment, no changes like adding or removing the chosen course, exam date, city is possible. So, if you are choosing to write 2 course exams, please choose suitably and make the payment. It is not possible to pay later for the second course. Once the payment is made, the registration form will be non-editable.
