ABOUT THE COURSE
Engineering start up is an area of interest to science and engineering students and the Government is also actively supporting this process. Business compliance requirement in India is very high. So it poses difficulty to the young entrepreneurs as to how and what form of business organization to choose for their start-up. This course is aimed at educating the students in that direction.

  • It will be useful for students pursuing BE, ME, MS, BSc, MSc, PhD.

PRE-REQUISITES
There is no pre-requisite of educational qualification for this course.

COURSE INSTRUCTOR




Corporate Laws & Governance is the area of specialization of Indrajit Dube. With a career spanning for more than a decade and half, Indrajit Dube has had diversified experiences as a practitioner, legal executive and academician. He is at present Associate Professor at Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Before joining the present Institute, he served as academic in National Law University Jodhpur. He has several articles published in National and International Journal and numerous conference papers to his credit. He has authored four books. He has to his credit about 20 research projects funded by World Bank, Competition Commission of India, Different Ministries of Government of India and international agencies. He was also a consultant and head of the team of the MCA project on Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. He has organized several national & International conferences. He has been invited to participate in multi-stakeholder expert consultation in Toronto being organized in support of the mandate of the United Nations on Business and Human Rights. He was also invited as visiting faculty at University of Western Ontario and University of British Columbia. He is also an invited speaker in different Business Forum, National and International Universities.

COURSE LAYOUT

Week 1: Fundamentals of choosing the Business Organization form for startup
Week 2: Laws relating to incorporation of Partnership, LL.P & Co - operative
Week 3: Laws relating to incorporation of One Person Company, Pvt. Ltd., Pub. Ltd. and not for profit company
Week 4: Financing the venture and legal compliance


Certification Exam

The exam is optional. Exams will be on 24 April 2016 and 30 April 2016.
Time: 2pm-5pm

Registration url: Announcements will be made when the registration form is open for registrations.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee of approximately Rs 1000 needs to be paid.

Certificate

Certificate will be given to those who register and write the exam. Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam.

It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur. It will be e-verifiable at nptel.ac.in/noc.
